Apr. 8--SPRINGFIELD -- A boxing club, doctor's office and the Springfield Hospital Auxiliary's thrift shop should be ready by the middle of next month in the former Furman's building.
On Wednesday night, the Springfield Planning Commission unanimously approved the redevelopment plan for part of Furman's, a 10,000 square foot building on Main Street.
The only public comment on the plans came from resident Steve Comstock. "It would be a nice place for a piano bar and restaurant," he said.
