SEATTLE, March 19 /PRNewswire/ -- A seven-hour public hearing March 24 at the Seattle Center Flag Pavilion will provide communities and residents of the region a chance to tell elected officials how the area's long-term commercial air transportation capacity needs should be met, the Puget Sound Regional Council said today.
The Transportation Policy Board, an advisory body to the Puget Sound Regional Council, has recommended that the region "vigorously pursue" a major new supplemental airport and a third runway at Sea-Tac Airport. The board specified, however, that certain conditions would have to be met before additional capacity could be added at Sea-Tac.
