BURLINGAME, Calif., March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The San Jose Mercury News, KCBS Radio, KGO Radio and KTVU-TV were the big winners in the Peninsula Press Club's 16th annual Professional Journalism Awards Competition, the press club said today.
The press club's "Evening of Excellence" honored the best of the best in Bay Area journalism for 1992. Local journalists submitted more than 400 entries, competing in various categories for newspaper dailies, weeklies, radio and television.
