. ISRAELI prime minister Ariel Sharon warned Palestinians that renewed violent attacks threaten the two-month truce in the region.

His warning came after militants fired mortars and rockets at Gaza's Jewish settlements, in retaliation for the fatal shooting of three teenagers by the Israeli army. Israeli officials said the three were arms smugglers, but Palestinians said they were playing football.
