Don't be fooled by the dismal weather. Allergy season has arrived.
Bay Staters could be in for a couple of miserable weeks later this month and early May.
Unseasonably cold temperatures forced the allergy season off to a late start, which means the tree and grass pollen seasons could overlap.
The last two weeks of April and first two weeks of May could be severe, said Dr. Thomas Johnson, medical director of New England Allergy, Asthma and Immunology in North Andover.
"Right now, it's only moderate. It's going to turn a little nasty at the end of April and the beginning of May," Johnson ...
