NO ONE should be under any illusions about this zany show. It is a theatrical celebration of the on-stage career of Tommy Cooper - only taking a breather to fill us all in on the complex man under the fez.
Jerome Flynn plays the big comedian complete with throaty mumblings and yet, oddly enough, an American accent.
Strange but true - a bit like Tommy's seemingly unstructured and undisciplined act which was in reality well thought out by this much- loved giant.
Cooper's comic traits are perfectly captured and the visual tricks are in the same magical league.
