Apr. 10--USDA names Gutierrez to New Mexico post

Paul Gutierrez was named to the position of U.S. Department of Agriculture's rural development director in New Mexico. Gutierrez has worked since March 2004 as deputy assistant secretary for civil rights at USDA. He has has also served as the assistant deputy administrator for USDA's farm programs and as the state executive director for USDA's Farm Service Agency in New Mexico.

He has experience with New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau, Farm Credit Services of New Mexico and Production Credit Association of New Mexico.
