NBA TV, the most expensive pure digital-cable network in the industry, has added 11 cable systems to its lineup, swelling its total subscriber base to about 10 million.
In a separate deal, the National Basketball Assn. and the Women's NBA have renewed their marketing partnership with Toyota, which goes well beyond 30-second spots in the games to product placement and exclusive branding. New contract includes the creation of a TV series centered on the Finals that will run on NBA TV starting late next month.
