Apr. 13--When chemist Greg Anderson and the folks at 3M look at Post-it Notes, they don't see tiny slips of paper with adhesive on the back. They see years' worth of science and chemistry, including analyzing spherical polymers, testing surface energy and replicating aging conditions.
They see market studies that range from sophisticated tests for the product to informal conversations with people in offices about how they use Post-it Notes.
