ISLAMABAD, April 12 (PPI): Prime Minister of Iraq Ibrahim Jaafari has assured Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz that all efforts were being made to secure safe recovery of the official of Pakistan Embassy who was kidnapped in Baghdad last Sunday.

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz called the Prime Minister of Iraq on Tuesday and asked him to take every step to ensure the safe recovery of the kidnapped Pakistani official.

Shaukat Aziz said Javed Malik who was kidnapped in the Iraqi capital was an innocent Pakistani citizen.
