Apr. 13--Chris Thompson and his wife, Lisa, knew Bowling Green was the perfect town to start a business when they visited almost 10 years ago.
"We knew that Bowling Green was the place the very first time we drove through," he said.
The couple had invested in the Mancino's Pizza and Grinders franchise and were looking for the right college town. The Thompsons have opened five stores since and their success earned them the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce's 2005 Small Business Person of the Year Award.
