COMEDIANS across the land are in awe of the prodigious energy displayed by Sir Norman Wisdom who celebrated his 90th birthday earlier this year but seems incapable of hanging up the old tweed cap that became his trademark.
A year or so back, he made guest appearances in television sitcom Last of the Summer Wine and almost stole all the honours at a charity gig in Wimbledon last summer, according to the humorist Graham Fellows who was stunned at Sir Norm's ability to 'knock 'em dead' in the aisles.
He's popping up again tomorrow night at a gala dinner in his honour at the Adelphi hotel where Liverpool's own esteemed emperor ...
