Engine manufacturer Caterpillar recently announced plans to meet the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) new stringent emission regulations for diesel-fueled engines through the use of the next generation of its ACERT engine technology, which features an "enhanced combustion process called clean gas induction (CGI), closed crankcase ventilation system and diesel particulate filter system with active regeneration."
