Two Hancock Field Air Guard recruiters have earned top national honors for their efforts.
It is the first time that two recruiters for the Mattydale-based 174th Fighter Wing have earned the Air Guard's highest recruiting honor in the same year, said Lt. Anthony Bucci, a unit spokesman.
Master Sgt. Brad Addison, 30, of Syracuse, and Tech Sgt. Joe Call, 27, of Port Byron, earned awards for flying unit recruiter of the year and rookie recruiter of the year, respectively, Bucci said.
Later this month, Addison and Call will attend the Air Guard's national recruiting conference to formally receive the gold badge awards.
