Inmet Mining Corporation's fourth quarter 2003 net income was $127.6 million or $3.21 per share compared to net income of $0.4 million or ($0.01) per share in the fourth quarter of 2002. Net income in the fourth quarter of 2003 included net proceeds received of $110.9 million from the successful outcome of the Troilus litigation. Excluding the Troilus litigation proceeds, earnings in the quarter were $16.2 million higher compared to the fourth quarter of 2002 due to higher metal prices and the inclusion of strong earnings from Ok Tedi.
