Robotic Vision Systems, Inc. (RVSI) today said its Acuity CiMatrix Division had received an order from a major, tier-one automotive electronics supplier for machine vision equipment to track and trace printed circuit boards. The order has a value of $175,000.

RVSI's HawkEye 1500-series smart camera readers and DMxVerifer+ direct part mark quality verifiers will be used in the application in which RVSI equipment will read and verify Data Matrix two-dimensional bar codes that encode lot, date, and model numbers for the automotive electronics products being manufactured at the facility.
