Tadpole Computer has unveiled a Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 compliant wireless mobile solution for government users. Based on Tadpole's Comet line of wireless Sun Ray ultra-thin clients and Fortress Technologies' family of secure wireless gateways, the solution provides secure encrypted wireless networking for Federal network and communications systems that handle sensitive information.
Comet, Tadpole's wireless notebook version of the Sun Ray ultra-thin client from Sun Microsystems, will now interoperate with Fortress Technologies' family of security gateways which are FIPS 140-2 certified. Fortress products are FIPS certified and ...
