ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 17 /PRNewswire/ -- An advanced ink-jet technology that uses a 128-nozzle print head has been developed by Xerox for use in desktop computer printers. The technology is the culmination of more than 12 years of work in Xerox research and development facilities in Webster, N.Y. and Toronto, Ontario, Canada. 
Xerox has retained Tokyo Electric Co., Ltd., (TEC) of Tokyo to assemble desktop printers that use the patented Xerox ink-jet technology.  Xerox is manufacturing the printers' ink-jet cartridges in the Xerox Canandaigua, N.Y., manufacturing facility, which has special capabilities in microfabrication.
