ISTANBUL, April 18 Asia Pulse - South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun said Saturday his country had completely overcome the financial crisis which pounded the economy in late 1997.

"We've now completely overcome the financial crisis in terms of commodity prices, foreign exchange, the rate of economic growth, unemployment and all other aspects, although we suffered from some aftereffects (of the 1997 financial crisis) in 2003," Roh told a meeting with South Korean and Turkish businesspeople here.
