A dressing-down
If i read this correctly, Gap and Banana Republic employees sued because they either didn't want to wear the clothes or didn't want to pay for them ("Clothier dress codes fall out of fashion,'' March 2005). I find it absolutely hilarious and depressing that our judicial system supports gift cards as a settlement, which, by the way, is a great way to disguise an accounting hit.
I'm also curious if the attorneys' $400,000 in fees will be in gift cards. That would be fitting.
