JUDGING BY THE attendance alone at this year's IPC Expo, our industry appears to be upbeat about the future. Exhibitors and visitors posted strong numbers in relation to previous events. Working our booth for three days, I spoke with current customers, potential customers and the competition. I listened as they provided their take on business today, how it has evolved over the last 12 months and where they see US printed circuit board manufacturing headed.
Comments ranged from upbeat to "We're barely treading water." Many felt the market has reached some stability now, though for some this simply signaled a survival mode. Most support board production here in the ...
