Knight Ridder today announced the appointment of Henry Haitz III, publisher of the (State College, Pa.) Centre Daily Times, as president and publisher of the Bradenton Herald newspaper effective Jan. 1, 2004. He replaces Mac Tully, who has been named Knight Ridder vice president/operations.
