Researchers presented results today at the American Heart Association's Scientific Sessions suggesting that 1,000 mg of DHA omega-3 fatty acid daily can favorably impact lipids and reduce cardiovascular disease risk factors in healthy adults. The study was designed to investigate the cardiovascular benefits associated with docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and used Neuromins(R) DHA, manufactured by Martek Biosciences , which comes from a natural vegetarian source and is free of contaminants that may be found in fish.
