Celgene Corporation today announced diluted earnings per share of $0.05 driven by record THALOMID(R) (thalidomide) product sales. Total revenue for the third quarter increased 117.0% to $74.3 million from $34.3 million for the prior-year quarter. THALOMID sales in the third quarter of 2003 increased 88.7% to $57.6 million from $30.5 million in the third quarter of 2002. Celgene posted third quarter net income of $4.3 million, or $0.05 per diluted share compared to a net loss of $1.0 million or ($0.01) per share in the third quarter of last year.
