HOUSTON, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Viral Testing Systems Corporation (AMEX: VTS) announced today that it has named Dr. Hermann Mucke as senior vice president of research and development. Dr. Mucke was responsible for developing Fluorognost HIV-1 IFA, the only FDA approved test that can both screen and confirm for HIV, and report results within 90 minutes. The FDA recently cleared an IND to initiate clinical trials for Fluorognost HIV-2 IFA, the Fluorognost version for the West African variant of the AIDS virus. The test is exclusively distributed and marketed in the United States and the Western Hemisphere by VTS.
