Pfizer Inc said today that it is pleased with rulings for summary judgment granted in the company's favor in its patent infringement lawsuit against Teva Pharmaceuticals USA.
The decision by the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey concerns Teva's Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for Pfizer's blood pressure medicine Accupril.
In an October 2 ruling, the court denied all of Teva's motions and granted Pfizer's motions for summary judgment of both infringement and validity of several claims of the Accupril formulation patent which expires in 2007.
