A city of Oswego developer has sold nearly $13 million in Oswego County property during the last year. He plans to use some of that money to buy and develop prime real estate around the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Central Square.

First, Steven W. Thomas sold the land where Lowe's Home Improvement store now stands in the city of Oswego. The price: $2 million.

Next, he sold the Days Inn and Thomas Inn motels in Oswego for $2.7 million.

Then he sold off five Dunkin' Donuts franchises.

"I thought it was time for me to take a little bit of a break," said Thomas, 43, of Oswego.
