Apr. 19--RATINGS CHANGES: Tris Rating has affirmed the company ratings of Thai Airways International at AA- with a stable outlook. Ratings for THAI's proposed issue of up to 15 billion baht in senior debentures were also set at AA-.
Tris said the ratings continued to reflect THAI's capability to consistently deliver favourable profit, its dominant position in the domestic market, strong presence on international routes and the benefits it derives from being a member of the Star Alliance. The ratings are enhanced by THAI's status as the national flag carrier and the major ownership stake held by the government.
