Tyco Electronics Power Systems, Inc., a business unit of Tyco Electronics, was able to maintain delivery of uninterrupted power to Tyco Telecommunications facilities in New York City and Wall, NJ during the largest blackout in U.S. history last week. A centralized architecture of GPS4848 battery plants and strings of Round Cell telecom batteries provided the Tyco Global Network (TGN) facilities with the necessary redundancy to continue operating flawlessly through the vast power outage that crippled the Northeast US and Canada.
