SAN ANTONIO, Texas, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Southwestern Bell Corp. (NYSE: SBC) and its subsidiaries have announced the following executive appointments, which are effective June 1:
Pat F. Parker, 45, has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer for Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems in Dallas. In this newly created position, Parker will be responsible for the operation of all Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems cellular franchises. Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems is one of the United States' largest and fastest-growing cellular companies with more than 1.5 million customers in 28 metropolitan markets and 26 rural service areas.
