LOS ANGELES, June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Twenty-seven Los Angeles-area students were recognized last night for outstanding achievement in the field of computer science at the 15th annual Rockwell International/Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Computer Science Competition.
The competition's grand prize was awarded to the team of Ben Young from West Hills and Jennie Yoder from North Hills, both seniors at Van Nuys High School. Four first prizes and 10 second prizes also were awarded to area students at an awards banquet at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
