Navy cited for efforts in securing RP waters
The Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) recently lauded the role of the Philippine Navy in the bid to perk up renewed interest in the exploration of marine-based energy resources in the country.
PNOC president Eduardo Manalac said the security of the countrys internal waters "is crucial to the entry of local and foreign investors into a revitalized energy exploration sector."
"Renewed interest in exploration activities has become very important due to the skyrocketing price of oil in the world market," he said.
