Sepracor Inc. today announced the presentation of data from the first successful, long-term, placebo-controlled study conducted with a non-benzodiazepine for the treatment of chronic insomnia. Data from this large-scale study of eszopiclone in which patients 21-69 years of age received nightly treatment of either placebo (n=195) or eszopiclone 3 mg (n=593) were presented at the annual meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies (APSS) in Chicago.
