Trident Microsystems, Inc. reported today its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2003 which ended March 31, 2003. The Company announced that its net sales for the third quarter were $11,614,000, a decrease of 13% from the $13,283,000 for the prior quarter and a decrease of 60% from $28,839,000 for the same quarter of the prior fiscal year. The net loss for the third quarter of fiscal year 2003 was $7,543,000 or $0.55 per share compared to a net loss of $6,802,000, or $0.50 per share for the prior quarter and a net loss of $2,076,000, or $0.15 per share for the same quarter of the prior fiscal year.
