Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp. today announced the election of Edward A. Blechschmidt, former chairman and chief executive officer of Gentiva Health Services, to its board of directors effective immediately. Blechschmidt's appointment expands the Garden Fresh board to seven members.
Blechschmidt, 50, brings extensive experience across diverse industries and a strong financial and technology background to the Garden Fresh board. During his tenure at Gentiva from March 2000 until July 2002, the company grew to be ranked among the Fortune 1000 and its market valuation more than tripled.
