EDS announced today the implementation of the Supply Maintenance Aviation Reengineering Team (SMART) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program, a new supply chain and maintenance management system for the U.S. Navy. The SMART solution leverages application hosting services from EDS using the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) and commercial-off-the-shelf technology from SAP and Manugistics.
