NPS Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Enzon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced the expiration of the waiting period required under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act in connection with the previously announced proposed merger of NPS and Enzon. The expiration of the waiting period means that the requirements of the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act have been satisfied. NPS and Enzon expect to close the proposed merger promptly after approval by their respective stockholders.
