Tactex Controls Inc., (http://www.tactex.com/, TSX Venture: TTX), the developer of patented fibre optic based products, and Mercurial Communications Inc. today announced that Mercurial is developing a new touch controller based on a Tactex-supplied control surface. The new product will ship with PC based middleware and applications software developed by Mercurial.

The controller will operate with a PC, allowing the user to configure it for different functions. It also operates without a computer, producing MIDI signals that can be used by musicians and animators.
