Cardiac Science, Inc. , a leading manufacturer of life-saving public access defibrillators, today announced the formation of a partnership, through its Lancaster, PA-based distributor EMSC, with the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) whereby the council will promote the exclusive adoption of the Powerheart(R) Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to its members nationwide. The NVFC is a 28-year old non-profit membership association, based in Washington DC, that represents and furthers the interests of more than 19,000 volunteer fire departments and emergency medical services and rescue services personnel across the U.S.
