Silicon Valley Bancshares (SIVB), parent company of Silicon Valley Bank, announced the appointment of Derek Witte as general counsel and secretary to lead the company's legal department. Witte replaces Catherine Ngo who was appointed chief operating officer of Alliant Partners, Silicon Valley Bancshares' investment banking affiliate.
