California Micro Devices today announced the CM2400-01, a new USB (Universal Serial Bus) transceiver that provides a high-bandwidth connectivity solution for today's mobile electronic devices including wireless handsets, digital still cameras, digital video camcorders, handheld PCs/PDAs (personal digital assistants) and MP3 players. The CM2400-01 provides a USB-compliant interface between host and peripheral systems and features an internal level translator that permits USB signals to correctly interface with core chipsets such as microprocessors, baseband chipsets, ASICs and PLDs that run at core voltages of 1.65 to 3.3 Volts.
