Galyan's Trading Company, Inc. today reported net sales and comparable store sales for the fiscal fourth quarter ended February 1, 2003.
Net sales for the fourth quarter were $212.2 million, representing a 21.4 percent increase over the same period last year. Comparable store sales for the fourth quarter declined 1.4 percent. Increased comparable store sales in athletic apparel, athletic footwear, ski equipment, rugged apparel and accessories were more than offset by softness in casual apparel, brown shoes and camping categories.
