Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Christie Whitman announced today the company's enhanced commitment to the environment through the reduction of greenhouse gases and energy use.

Lowe's new commitment includes a 20 percent sales increase of ENERGY STAR qualified products in 2003, combined with ENERGY STAR employee training and increased customer education regarding the benefits of ENERGY STAR qualified products and programs. Whitman recognized Lowe's for its goal at a Charlotte store today.
