FORT WORTH, Texas, June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- GAINSCO, INC. (AMEX: GNA), announced today that GAINSCO County Mutual Insurance Company received an A.M. Best Company rating of "A" (Excellent), giving it the same rating as the other insurance companies in the GAINSCO group, General Agents Insurance Company of America, Inc. and MGA Insurance Company, Inc.
As previously disclosed, GAINSCO County Mutual Insurance Company (GCM) was acquired by GAINSCO in November, 1992. GCM is one of only 25 companies in Texas that can write automobile coverage at rates not requiring regulatory approval.
