The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has been criticised in a report from the Homeland Security Department for suspicious expenditures, improper use of government purchase cards as well as unethical and possibly illegal activities by federal employees.

According to the report, it was found that the TSA allowed USD19m to be spent on its crisis management centre, including USD3,000 on refrigerators, USD500,000 for art, silk plants and suchlike.
