NEW YORK, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R)) announced today that the Amex Board of Governors voted to appoint Board Governors Phillip Frost, M.D., and James R. Hyde, as Co-Vice Chairmen of the American Stock Exchange and Jack R. Borsting as Lead Governor.
Dr. Frost is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IVAX Corporation, an American Stock Exchange listed company. He served on the American Stock Exchange, Inc. Board of Governors from 1992 until the close of the NASD-Amex Transaction at which time he was appointed to the Board of American Stock Exchange LLC.
