A woman chemical engineer who made substantial researches on wastewater treatment processes yesterday bagged the Fifth National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST)-Hugh Greenwood Environmental Science Award held at the Traders Hotel, Roxas Blvd., Pasay City.

Dr. Pag-asa Gaspillo, director of the Engineering Graduate Studies at the De La Salle University in Manila, won the award because of her significant contributions to water and wastewater management.
