TWENTY six years ago, the incomparable Brian Clough left Archie Gemmill and Martin O'Neill out of the European Cup Final, as Nottingham Forest conquered the Continent against Malmo in Munich.
Some 12 months later, the Irishman duly collected a winner's medal against Kevin Keegan's SV Hamburg in the Bernabeu while, back home, the aggrieved Scot, by then a Birmingham City player, looked on in isolation.
