Apr. 23--STOCKTON -- Martin Midstream Partners LP of Kilgore, Texas, has acquired the operating assets and sulfur inventories of Bay Sulfur Co. at the Port of Stockton for approximately $6 million, officials involved in the transaction said.
"We've been in sulfur business for a long time," said Ruben S. Martin, president and chief executive of Martin Midstream, in a telephone interview Friday. "We felt like there could be some other opportunities in the area, so this would be a good base for us to expand and try to grow the systems out there."
