Apr. 25--Janet "Jenny" McQuillan has been selling gift baskets for more than 26 years, but she has a hard time remembering how the Allentown business started.
Her late husband, William, was a representative for Pepperidge Farm and opened Baker's Thrift Shop in the city in 1976.
Sometime during that period, she came up with the idea of filling wicker baskets with fresh Pepperidge Farm cookies and other goodies and selling them.
She named the company Jenny's Gift Baskets.
